Caught in the Crossfire: Divided Loyalties in Middlesex County Exhibit Opening Reception

Please join us on Sunday, April 26, for the opening of Caught in the Crossfire: Divided Loyalties in Middlesex County, a landmark exhibit highlighting the American Revolution.

Enjoy a catered event celebrating the opening of this new exhibit, a continuation of the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War.

See never-before-exhibited artifacts and archival documents from the American Revolution, brought together from lenders across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Explore interactive displays and specially commissioned artwork that tell the story of the people, places, and events that shaped our history. Listen to fife and drum music, engage with living history interpreters, and enjoy a catered event to celebrate the exhibit opening.

*The Caught in the Crossfire: Divided Loyalties in Middlesex County Exhibit will be open to the public from April 11, 2026, to December 31, 2028, 10 am to 4 pm. PARKING INFO

Accessible parking is available at 1225 River Road on top of the hill next to the museum.

Additional parking is available off around the corner off Sutphen Road, Rutgers Parking Lot 48. From Sutphen Road, the Museum parking area will be immediately on your left, at the back of the lot. Brown parking signs mark the spaces affiliated with the Museum. The path marked Cornelius Low House Interpretive Path begins inside the gate. Follow this path to the Museum. The path is approximately 1000 ft. long, with benches along the way.
