Ricky Santiago in Finale Bulerias with Company Dancers and Guitarist, Ivan Max

Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre’s new production, La Evolución Flamenca, celebrates the evolution of Flamenco Dance and Music over the past 250 years, from the courtly 18th-century Fandangos to traditional and Nuevo Fusion Flamenco.

Join New Jersey’s premier Spanish & Flamenco dance company, the critically acclaimed Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre, for this exciting new production at Playhouse 22 in East Brunswick, NJ. From 18th-century Fandangos and Polo Flamenco to the elegant Caracoles of 19th-century Cafes Cantantes and 20th-century traditional Flamenco from the Caves of Granada to present-day Nuevo Fusion Flamenco.

Alborada’s critically acclaimed dancers and musicians will fill Playhouse 22 with spectacular traditional costumes and the sights and sounds of the passion and power of Flamenco Dance, Song, and Music. With pounding feet, clicking castanets, twirling fans, and flying silk shawls, the performance will delight audiences of all ages!
