Since 2025, the NJFF is being produced in partnership with the Arts Institute of Middlesex County as a part of the County’s Folk Live series. Hosted at Middlesex County’s Davidson’s Mill Pond Park, the event also incorporates aspects of the Rutgers Cooperative Extension’s former Garden Arts & Music Festival to highlight New Jersey’s rich agricultural heritage.
The annual NJFF typically features an exciting line-up of activities including:
- Diverse folk musical and dance performances across two main stages
- A stage with youth-centric performances & storytelling
- A narrative stage with mini-lectures, folklore presentations, and interviews
- A robust heritage area featuring live demonstrations by folklife centers from around the state.
- Agricultural activities, gardening demonstrations, and park/garden tours by the E.A.R.T.H. Center & the Rutgers Master Gardeners program
- Children’s activities & tractor rides
- Food trucks
- & more!
The New Jersey Folk Festival, Inc. is also a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the State of New Jersey exempt from federal taxation.
