The Lower Raritan Watershed Partnership (LRWP) is proud to invite you to join us as we build a replica of the “American Star” in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.

Learn woodworking, historic boat crafting, and more as we construct a cedar strip vessel and paddles to be used on the Raritan River.

These “in-person” boat build sessions are free and open to the public at our Boat House location, 101 Raritan Avenue in Highland Park. No prior woodworking skills required; participants will learn through hands-on activities.

Registration is FREE; however, pre-registration is required, and each build session is limited to eight (8) participants. Click here to reserve your space. Closed-toed shoes are required when in the boat house. Bring your own eye and ear protection if you have them.
